This year in February, 6th and 7th, the United Northwest Model Railroad Club held it’s annual model railroad show and swap meet at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, WA.
My wife and I attended it on the 6th along with her sister and her sister’s little daughter Emily. Emily had a great time, as expected.
There were a lot of layouts on display in a variety of scales, HO, N, O, and garden sizes. There were a lot of diorama, which was of interest to me as I’m a diorama builder. One man’s display was primarily made up of built-up versions of some famous Fine Scale Miniatures and Builder’s In Scale kits, like one that I built called Sassen Vinegar.
There were some demonstrations of background painting and engine weathering. There was also a lot of vintage railroad items on sale in all scales and eras.
