Adventure at Woodland Park Zoo

Adventure at Woodland Park Zoo

Today was a gray overcast day, but the afternoon brightened up. Along with our tiny travel companion (who has accompanied us on many of our other adventures – Switzerland, China, Disneyland, and more) we journeyed to the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, Washington for the first time. Despite living near the zoo all these years it was our first visit there. Emily had seen it several times before, but she said she didn’t remember much because she was too tiny. She said she wanted to see some real-life giraffes because she had never seen them in person – only in books and movies. So we set out in search of those guys and more.

Armed with my Woodland Park Zoo iPhone App, we walked around all the animals in the zoo including the giraffes and hippos and exotic birds and more. We had a great day and Emily had lots of fun, too.

Here are some photos of our journey and a video we put together especially for Emily.
