We visit Smith Tower in Pioneer Square, downtown Seattle with it’s unique Chinese Room on the 35th floor and the wraparound observation deck where you can take in the sights of the Seattle skyline.
For the sixth year in a row, we visit the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in Mount Vernon Washington. We see beautiful fields of tulips at Roozengaarde and Tulip Town, then we visit our favorite garden off the beaten path – the WSU Discovery Garden. We finish our trip with a visit to our favorite cafe, Calico Cupboard.
We visit the newest addition to the base of the Space Needle – this remarkable exhibit of Chihuly designed glass sculptures and history.
On a sunny autumn afternoon in October, we visit the Seattle Great Wheel, a 175 foot tall ferris wheel located on Pier 57 in Seattle.
